Your day of great food experiences will start at the Amedei chocolate factory. There you will enjoy an informative tour and fun tasting.  Immerse yourselves in the experience, surrounded by the aroma of chocolate.  Discover how it is made, from cocoa bean to final creation, visit the production facilities, and then end your tour by sampling up to 15 delicious chocolate treats, including the drinkable and the edible kinds!

Just a few minutes’ drive away in Montopoli is the Fattoria Varramista, a small organic exquisite production of wine predominantly made from San Giovese and Syrah grapes. You will experience a private tour of the historical estate, learning about how the wine is made. Drive through the vineyards, view the parlor of the former Medici villa, stroll the Italian garden, then visit the evocative cellars where the wine is aged in wooden barrels.  Afterwards, sample the best selection of their wines while enjoying a typical Tuscan lunch.

After your wine experience, your driver will take you for a 20 minute drive to reach the charming hilltop village of Lari.  Your first stop will be Pastificio Tradizionale Famiglia Martelli. There you will be welcomed for a visit to witness the hand crafted pasta production process. It’s a family business since 1926 at Pasta Martelli, one that keeps its passion for the Italian craft tradition of making fresh pasta alive.

Afterwards, you are free to wander through Lari’s enchanting square, perhaps stopping for a refreshing gelato and a visit to the Macelleria Ceccotti butcher shop.  The Ceccottis have been in business nearly 60 years, and maintain family traditions in hand-made production of sausages and other cured pork products.

Your driver will then return you to your accommodation after your day of savoring and experiencing some of the best local products and how they are created.
